The spot is perfect for learners with the kitesurfing school of the JT Pro Centre, which offer complete beginner lessons dinghy assisted with private instructors and private boat drivers in extremely flat, warm, clear and shallow water.
Once at the JT Pro Center on Union Island you will want to discover all the neighbouring islands and kite spots with some of the kite centre day tours with the center’s kite excursion speed boat and qualified staff.

Where are the Best Kitesurfing Beaches in Union Island?
The Kite Beach at the JT Pro Center is one of the most popular kite spots. The colour of the water here is fantastic, and the flat water makes it easy to try out new tricks.
The spot is not very big and has a few sailboats downwind, so only kiteboarders who can stay upwind can kite here unless they take lessons with the centre.
This is the spot where you can drink at the famous Happy Island Bar with your kite in the air in the middle of the kite spot !!
The beach is excellent, with a great lounge area protected by the wind and the JT Pro Center Beach Bar.

Fregatte is one of the best flatwater spots in the whole Caribbean. The wind comes from behind a small land strip making the water extremely flat and perfect for loading any pop or unhooked tricks. This is the spot used by the kite centre for all of their board lessons. The wind can be a little gustier than at the JT Pro Center when it is located from the North/North East.
The JT Pro Center offers a downwind trip to the Fregatte spot every day.
- Wind: Offshore
- Waves: No
- Shorebreak: No
Mayreau is one of the top favourite spots for waves and flat water. The spot is divided into two, one flat water spot only for advanced kiters and maximum two kiters at the time. The upwind part is a small lagoon with flat water and small fun waves to play with.
The JT Pro Center also offers water taxis and kite tours to Mayreau located 15 min from Union Island.
