The Mystic Majestic wetsuit is a staple suit across the range within Mystic products. Sitting as their top of the range suit alongside the Volt, it ranges in numerous sizes, including 3/2, 4/3 and 5/4, whilst also having front zip and back zip options. I’ve been using the 3/2 for the 2021 UK summer season, and it’s been my go-to suit since June.

The rubber in this suit is top of the range Yamamoto 39, a premium Japanese neoprene with great warmth qualities and incredible stretch. To improve the strength and heat even more, Mystic has incorporated Knitflex+, a material that provides more flexibility with a luxury look and feel. The Majestic suit also features Wind Mesh material keeping your body toasty during those nuclear days!

The inside lining consists of two different materials. Flaremesh+ is Mystic’s warmest inner lining, and it is plastered over the inside of the suit. Fox fleece is their other material that provides more insulation where Flaremesh+ isn’t located.

Glue bind stitching ensures the suit is waterproof, and you can see from the inside of the suit there is waterproof stretch taping along the seams, avoiding leaks whilst keeping you warm.

There are also a few nice little features located throughout the suit. There’s a key pocket on the leg that tucks away nicely with a mini buckle. There’s also silicone printing alongside the front zip, which helps form a barrier between water and the front zip panels. Having this here helps prevent any water entry by the zip. Hex-tech kneepads provide a firmer feel on the knee to prevent any rips, and when purchasing the suit, you’ll get some Mystic ankle straps which are optional to use and help create a watertight seal at the ankles.

On The Water

When summer hits the UK, the temperatures can get surprisingly warm; it also stays warm right through until Autumn, so a suit like this doesn’t go away after August! It’s still keeping me very warm in October!

The suit is very true to size; I’m 6ft tall, weigh roughly 78kg and chose to go with a Medium. The suit is incredibly easy to put on, and after your session, it dries really quickly. Yamamoto 39 is considered one of the best neoprene’s on the market, and you can really tell when you’ve got the suit on. It feels super comfy, compliments physiques really well and most importantly, keeps you super warm!

Wetsuits can be expensive, and with the 3/2 Majestic sitting at £320, a lot of people can be thrown off the price as it’s definitely a more premium suit. That said, you get quality that you can be sure will last not 1, not 2, but multiple summer seasons!

Overall

I don’t have a bad word to say about the suit! In fact, it’s my favourite summer suit thus far! It looks great, feels great and most importantly, keeps me warm in the colder UK climate. I love the flexibility the suit offers and the stretch it gives when putting it on and off. When my current 3/2 Majestic is knackered, I know I’ll be getting another to replace it!
