The Mystic crew is stoked to welcome Dutch Pro Kiteboarder Giel Vlugt on board! With his average sessions lasting between 5 and 6 hours, the Dutch powerhouse is able to drive the R&D to the next level and the Mystic gear will be put to the ultimate test as the Dutch powerhouse puts durability to the test!

Pushing the envelope of what’s possible, Giel Vlugt is evolving Big Air as we know it. He believes that if you’re impassioned by something, you’ll fight for it regardless of what it takes. His recipe paid off; after 10 years of attempts from within the scene, Giel was the first to land the Double Megaloop, leaving everyone at the edge of their seats.
As a Dutch rider whose pro journey began when he was 18, Giel had to break through all doubts that he could rise the ranks. It sparked a flame in him, and being competitive to the core, he won’t settle for anything less than 1st. But determined as he is, Giel is friendly at heart, and his competitive edge won’t overshadow his sportsmanship. Find out more here.

Big congrats to Giel, who just took home GKA Kite World Tour’s ‘Male Rider of the Year’ and ‘Men’s Move of the Year’! Plenty more to come for someone who won’t settle for anything less than first.
