Casey Newton, a rare soul who has an ability to see the best in anyone and fill numerous hearts with love and kindness, now needs our help.

When Mountain Biking with friends last week, she fell from her bike, resulting in a broken rib and broken back. A lengthy 6-hour surgery followed, with the devastating news for Casey and her family that she will unlikely walk again due to the damage to her spinal cord and surrounding nerves.

Currently, Casey has no feeling or movement from the waist down, which has meant requiring 24-hour care from others (bathing, dressing etc.), becoming incontinent and requiring specialist equipment to assist her out of bed.

As one half of ‘Bendy and Sendy’, Casey and her partner, Jay, have built their lives around their love and talent for mountain biking and yoga. Among other things, Casey is a SUP instructor, a talented Kitesurfer and travelled extensively, weaving a trail of friendships and joy worldwide. Known for her beaming smile, Casey has time and love for everyone and has helped and inspired more people than she will know on their own journeys. Now it is time for us to help her.

Casey is currently at a specialist rehabilitation centre in Salisbury, where she will spend the next 3-6 months before returning to her home in Cornwall. If we can all help ease the financial burden for Casey and Jay at this time, it will take just one small strain away from them in this truly terrifying reality for them and their family.
