Join Polly Crathern as she kitesurfs 12992 ft above sea level in Tajikistan! This lake is under ice for eight months of the year so you have to be pretty tough to even think about pumping your kite up…now that’s an adventure.

At 12992 ft, this is highest sailing regatta in the world. Under ice for eight months of the year, the lake at Karakul is wild and remote with tough conditions and extraordinary people.
