As well as being one of the worlds most extreme kiters Lewis Crathern might just be the hardest working man in kiting. When he’s not jumping over Brighton Pier, commentating on the PKRA or lending a hand to organise the Virgin Armada he’s visiting schools in the UK using kitesurfing to help promote environmental awareness and a positive attitude towards sports.

Over the past year he’s been putting together his ‘world tour’ giving us an insight into the life of a pro-athlete and what it means to be on the road constantly. Here’s the first part of his world tour in his own words.

“Taiwan: The Heart of Asia is the first stop on my World Tour. I go on the search for top kitesurfing conditions and a taste of the local culture. During my visit the Kiteboard Tour Asia put on Taiwan’s first ever kiteboarding event.  This Episode’s SeshTip is ‘The Backloop Transition’ (BLT). Thanks to Spot Beach Club (http://www.spottaiwan.com/), BestKiteboarding Asia and the KTA for such a great time.”
