Kitesurfing Readers Awards Results 2013
A huge congratulations to Slingshot Kite who have won the prestigious Best Brand 2013 Award in our annual IKSURFMAG Readers Awards. Slingshot really had a great line up of both boards and kites last year with the Rally and RPM proving exceedingly popular. The Misfit and Asylum were very fantastic twin tips and the surf board line up was exquisitely finished too. It seems like you have all been enjoying the gear as well and voted the Brand as your favourite!
Well done to Sam Light, the winner of the Best Male Rider 2013 category, Sam won the Triple S event last year and is known for his powerful and stylish wakestyle riding. He joined the Slingshot Team at the end of 2012 and has certainly been keeping himself busy, working on videos and featuring in the Freeride Project 2 which is due out soon….
Gisela Pulido is no stranger to winning, 9 World Titles in Freestyle and an excellent comeback on the PKRA this year to defeat Karolina Winkowska and take the World Title once again! We’ve got a huge interview with Gisela in our latest issue, in it she candidly speaks about the World Tour, the level of women’s kitesurfing and also what it is like to lose. Congratulations Gisela on being voted the Best Female Rider for 2013 by our readers!
Two years in a row mean the F-One Team must be doing something right, a favourite amongst the readers awards once again this year! The Bandit 6 is an all round kite aimed at all riders from intermediate to expert, able to handle waves, freestyle and freeride with aplomb.
