You are self-sufficient and you have to manage every weather condition that Mother Nature has to offer. You must pass certain checkpoints along the way, but the route between checkpoints is up to you – and that will determine if you succeed or not.

It is hard, it requires experience, training and planning, but it’s worth it! Previous participants from the Varanger Peninsula have called it “the Hawaii of snowkiting” and many have said that VAKE has given them the kite experience of their lives.
