Shinnster Encore
An instant hit when launched in 2014, the Shinnster never fails to put a smile on your face regardless of the conditions. This year, we took a step back to see what we could tweak and improve to make this the favourite 2nd board for every rider. What is the Shinnster? It’s not a wave board, and it’s not a skimboard… The Shinnster is a kiteboard designed for strapless riding. Flatwater skate style, small onshore wave playing, no fins, 80mm fins… There are no rules, grab it and do whatever comes to mind.
Maintaining the rocker and flex pattern from the original this overhaul makes the Shinnster more compact and “trickable” without influencing the critical rail length needed to achieve the powerful upwind and drive it’s famous for. Our all-new Jet Stream tail channels increase the tail grip while using smaller fins to provide a better balance of sliding skate style moves and a more aerial style. Jackson Sunburner
Achieving a robust snowboard style construction that’s both stiff (a critical feature for control on a foil board) and light is no easy task. Still, our new and innovative V-Tech mould combined with uni-directional carbon makes significant gains in both areas. The supplied one-piece pad is raised throughout giving added protection from rail strikes and improved handling of the board when in the water. Exclusive to Shinn, the Sunburner also features our Trim Track foil connection allowing you to achieve the perfect foil position in the board.

Foil Model K2
It’s two years since we tore up the rule book and introduced the Model P – a revolution for learning to foil and now we’re at it again. Even now, there is a chasm in terms of ability needed between beginner and true performance foils. We aim to close that gap and introduce the Shinn K2 foil.
Inheriting the ease of use, early starting and intuitive pitch control from the legendary Model P the all-new K2 has an abundance of confidence-inspiring stability and control that allows the rider to handle power comfortably and reach speeds that seemed impossible before. Rider further and faster without extreme front foot pressure, agility with stability and a fast track to a more advanced foiling level. With a similar rake and surface area to the model K, the secret to this foil is in the combination of the 2-stage anhedral front wing and high aspect, wingletted stabiliser perfectly balancing the foil through a range of speeds.
If the P wing was responsible for re-writing the rule book on entry-level foiling get ready for the K2 to do the same for the next generation of high-energy freeriders.

Foil Model K
Speed range, stability, great pitch control and amazing carving. It reads like a shopping list for your next foil, but the new model K does do it all. Inspired by the need for a foil to fill the gap between the impossibly easy to learn on P foil and high-speed Model F, the model K represents our vision for the perfect x-over, multi-purpose foil.
Riding your P with ease but not looking to make life hard for yourself by moving onto a high speed, high technique dependant free race foil? The model K was developed with “2nd season” foilers in mind and was designed to ensure your progress remains as fast and painless as your first season on the Model P was. Impressive low speed starting and a high angle of attack stall resistance means you don’t need the footwork of a ballerina to master the tricky footswitches required for flying tacks and gybes and yet lock it down and pour on the power and the model K accelerates and tracks assuredly with a feeling far more often associated with high-performance race or free-race foils.
