In the midst of Europe's chilly winter, Harlem Kitesurfing's founder and CEO, Alex Morgenstern, alongside team rider Lorenzo Casati, embarked on an exhilarating Caribbean escape, setting their course for none other than Sir Richard Branson's private paradise - Necker Island.

Invited by pro kitesurfer and ocean activist Susi Mai and Greator, Germany's leading coaching platform, the Harlem duo joined a vibrant community of entrepreneurs from diverse industries, alongside business leaders and experts, converging for a 4-day immersion in collaboration and networking at the "Visionary Mastermind" event organised by the platform.

Part of the British Virgin Islands, Necker Island is renowned for its dedication to sustainability and conservation initiatives. The island is a haven for diverse, carefully protected and preserved wildlife. Conservation efforts on the island encompass habitat restoration, invasive species control, and wildlife population monitoring.

Necker Island also champions sustainable practices, utilising renewable energy sources like solar panels and wind turbines, implementing water conservation measures, and promoting organic farming. This combination of environmental stewardship and luxury travel makes Necker Island a prime example of harmonious coexistence between nature and human activity.

Innovation, sustainability, and shared passion for kitesurfing formed the heart of the discussions and cooperation during this action-packed gathering on the pristine island. The group shared their knowledge, experiences, and collective commitment to pushing the boundaries of sustainability and setting new standards within their respective sectors.

In a captivating presentation, Alex Morgenstern delved into the sustainability ethos of the Harlem brand, unveiling the latest eco-friendly innovations and customisation features implemented into the Game Changer Lineup kites. Produced at Brainchild Production, the first sustainable, fully solar-powered production facility in Europe, Harlem Game Changer kites are made with predominantly locally sourced raw components and, where possible, recycled raw materials, to elevate the usage of recycled materials to an impressive 90% by 2029.

The Game Changer Lineup also features innovative digital eco print technology that uses non-coloured fabrics and eco-friendly ink, saving up to four times more water and energy than traditional methods while reducing significant amounts of waste.

“Sustainability is no longer just a buzzword but a critical component of our future success. By coming together, we had the opportunity to forge sustainable partnerships that will not only benefit our businesses but also have a positive impact on our planet“, shared Alex Morgenstern in reflection of the event's impact.

Beyond networking, this event illustrated the essence of fostering social connections across industries and entrepreneurs, shaping the trajectory of their future strategies.

During the collaborative gathering, former King of the Air Lorenzo Casati led a stellar clinic showcasing the cutting-edge technologies of Harlem’s kites. He put on a show that wowed the crowd. He spotlighted the customisation abilities of the Game Changer lineup due to the innovative digital printing technology utilised, unveiling the limitless advertising opportunities it presents to global businesses.
