Kitesurfing in Egypt
If you’ve been wanting to learn to kiteboard or searching for the perfectly flat water freeride or freestyle spot, then The Red Sea should be top of your list. Egypt is an idyllic playground with sunshine, clear blue waters, and a constant warm breeze. With temperatures ranging from 25-35c from April to November and 12-22c from December to March, you’ll only need a rash vest in the summertime and a 4/3 wetsuit in the wintertime.
Unlike some kiteboarding locations around the world, Egypt requires kiting from a centre due to local regulations, but that’s not a bad thing. Imagine getting to the beach in a family-friendly environment and having compressors to pump your kite, sandbags to keep them in place, sunbeds, a restaurant, showers, rescue assistance and beach crew helping you to launch and land your kite, and at the end of the day, a place to store your gear and a cold beer apres-kite!
