Ride Engine has teamed up with Hydrocinch® patented intellectual property. Both brands share the same ethos with the desire to innovate, create, and bring solutions in gear to make the water sports user experience better and increase performance.

Hydrocinch® is a wind sports tech company based in Ann Arbor, Michigan and founded by kite instructor Corey Gerhart and automotive design engineer Greg Marquardt.

The Hydrocinch® patented IP incorporates Ride-Loc technology which utilizes a geometric advantage that is micro-adjustable under load and repeatable controls spreader bar pivot.

“The entire Ride Engine crew is excited to work with Corey and Greg, founders of Hydrocinch®. These guys not only bring their experience and passion of kiteboarding into their IP, but they also have 30+ years of engineering expertise and unit testing data that show they have solutions to common issues in kiteboarding and windsurfing harnesses.” – Gary Siskar, Ride Engine, Director of Marketing.

Ride Engine recognizes the potential of the IP that Hydrocinch® has created and is enthusiastic about integrating and commercializing it in future Ride Engine products.

“We could see the future of the harness market, but preferred leveraging the experience of a rider-focused company like Ride Engine/Slingshot to assist in an international product release. By working with Ride Engine, they will be able to implement our technology into an already outstanding product line through our long term licensing agreement. We look forward to furthering product developments and innovation while promoting the industry standard.” Corey Gerhart & Greg Marquardt, Hydrocinch® Founders
